UNDRALLU

THIS IS RECIPE THAT SHOULD BE PREPARED ON Vinayaka Chaturdhi(undrallu)

Undrallu, Kudumulu, Vinayaka Chaturdi Special Undrallu, Tasty Undrallu,  

Ingredients for Undrallu

Rice 1 cup
minap pappu[urad dal] 1tsp
Chana pappu 4 tsp
ghee 2tsp
Cumin seeds / Jeera 1/2 tsp
Grated fresh coconut 4 tsp
Salt as per
 

Directions to prepare Undrallu

1 ) Wash rice well and drain all the water. Spread on a paper to dry out all the water for one hour .
2 ) Grind the rice grains in a grinder to a rava .
3 ) Place a pan on the stove with 2 glass of water add chana dal, cumin and salt. Bring the water to a boil, reduce the heat to a medium heat, slowly add rice rava into the boiling water and keep stirring. till all the water is absorbed by the rice rava. add ghee to it.
4 Add grated coconut and stir it well.
5 ) With wet hands make small balls. Sprinkle some water if rava is too hard or breaking.
6 ) Use a idli steaming stand to steam these rice balls for 10 min.undrallu are ready
